Cold Steel is a novel by Richard K. Morgan, first published in 2007. It is the third book in the Takeshi Kovacs trilogy, following Altered Carbon and Broken Angels.

The novel follows the story of Takeshi Kovacs, a former soldier and Envoy - a elite group of soldiers trained to withstand extreme physical and psychological trauma. Kovacs is recruited by a wealthy businessman, Laurens Bancroft, to solve a murder mystery. Bancroft, a Meth - a human who has achieved virtual immortality through the process of uploading his consciousness into a new body - was killed in his previous body, but his stack (the device that stores a person's consciousness) was recovered and restored into a new body. However, Bancroft has no memories of the events leading up to his death and believes he was murdered.

Kovacs is initially hesitant to take the case, as he has a personal vendetta against the Meths, who he believes are responsible for the destruction of his home planet, Harlan's World. However, he ultimately agrees to take the case and begins his investigation, aided by his AI partner, Poe.

As he delves deeper into the mystery, Kovacs uncovers a conspiracy involving Bancroft's family and a rival corporation. Along the way, he also grapples with his own demons and past traumas, including the loss of his sister and his time as a soldier in the Envoys.

The novel's themes include the dangers of technological advancements, the corrupting influence of power and wealth, and the struggle to come to terms with one's past. With its action-packed plot and thought-provoking themes, Cold Steel is a gripping and entertaining read.

The theme of the book follows their liberation and freedom, among other things, and even though they have love interests, it never hampers their growth. To what extent might the learning experience of the main character and perhaps the reader be enhanced by contrasts? Ufak dikkat eksiklikleriyle ortaya çıkacak hatalardan. I finished it before the holiday ended. It was a gripping story. Payoffs are huge, but there are few big winners and many losers.

For those who have read the first two books, this one provides a satisfying conclusion, and I would recommend this trilogy to those looking for something different in fantasy. The story held my interest better than the second book and equally as well as the first book. To Nassim Nicholas Taleb, real experts are those who have know-how, such as grain inspectors, test pilots, chess masters and physicists. Google offers a variety of benefits, including a choice of medical programmes, stock options, maternity and paternity leave, and much more. It's very female-centric, the two young women lead characters are sisters and they're really portrayed as well-rounded and believable, which I appreciated.

Basically, the big cliffhanger at the end of Cold Fire. I can literally think of no reason why he needs to be in the book. Meanwhile, it's always a relief to read a fantasy book whose author has clearly thought about her representation of people, through, for instance, having a mostly non-white cast and positive portrayals of women in all walks of life. He gets more and more sucked in, forsaking his radical ideals, and Cat starts feeling her life spiraling more and more into something she doesn't recognize and knows she can't live with.

But as an adult, whether because of the instant gratification or because the tone is fairly uniform, I found it difficult to get invested: the book would be on to a new situation before emotions had time to develop. It has to look after the social growth and social acceptance from the society as well, because without it ,it wont be considered as organization.

It had been a lot work. So overall, I think this book, and this series, were pretty fun and engaging, if a bit flawed. Their cooing gets a little overbearing sometimes, but maybe that's just me. It straddles a lot of genres and does so with finesse! In hindsight, I'd classify the series as get-it-at-the-library-good, rather than get-it-at-the-bookstore-good. So on the whole, a very poor end to what could have a been a great trilogy. I also enjoyed the character-driven humor which seemed to increase as the series progressed.
