Doom is a first-person shooter video game that was released in 1993 and was developed by id Software. The game was a revolutionary addition to the gaming industry and is considered a classic by many fans. It has also been adapted into a film that was released in 2005, and this review will be focusing on the film adaptation.
The plot of the film follows a group of marines who are sent to a research facility on Mars after strange and deadly events start occurring there. The marines are tasked with finding out what is causing the strange events and stopping it before it spreads to Earth. As they delve deeper into the facility, they discover that the cause of the strange occurrences is a group of genetically enhanced humans who have been mutated by an ancient Martian virus.
One of the biggest problems with the film is that it strays significantly from the plot of the original game. While the game is set on Mars and involves genetically enhanced humans, the story of the film has very little in common with the game beyond these basic details. This can be quite disappointing for fans of the game who were expecting a more faithful adaptation.
Another issue with the film is its lack of character development. The characters in the film are all one-dimensional and lack any real depth or complexity. This makes it difficult to become invested in their storylines or to care about their fates.
The acting in the film is also quite wooden, with many of the actors delivering their lines in a robotic and uninspired manner. This, combined with the shallow characters, makes it difficult to connect with the film on an emotional level.
The special effects in the film are also quite underwhelming. While the design of the mutated humans is somewhat interesting, the overall effects are quite poorly done and look dated by today's standards.
Overall, Doom is a disappointing adaptation of the classic video game. It lacks a compelling story, well-developed characters, and good acting, and its special effects are underwhelming. While it may be worth a watch for fans of the game who are curious about the film, it is unlikely to appeal to a wider audience.
Film Review: Doom (2005)
A suggestion of one anyway. Arenas are carefully designed to provide enough space for horizontal and vertical movement double-jumps! In Aliens you don't actually see any aliens for the first third of the movie, but Doom pretty much decides not to beat around the bush and you end up seeing them shortly after the marines arrive at the facility. . How they survive, how they breathe earth atmosphere in the station and what, as carnivores, they eat and drink -- I think we can all agree these are questions deserving serious scientific study. The yoga retreat idea was nice from his friends, but with that much debt, would you spend more money on a lavish yoga retreat? There is one of course kind of hard to make a movie with no plot , but it's all an afterthought to the last half of the movie which is pretty much just stuff getting killed. Send this movie to Hell, where it belongs.

Review of Doom (2005) by Yassine H
Doom: Annihilation is doomed by its own mediocrity, as it's too capable to be a "so bad, it's good" film, which is the best that it could have aspired to be. However it made them a lot of money, so naturally that, coupled with the development hype, would renew interest in a movie. Nudity from both the front and back are visible, however lower nudity is not visible. Even in Doom 3, which fleshed out the story, none of that plot crap mattered. There are the usual silly cliches afoot as well.

Doom: Annihilation Moive Review
I feel what every one thinks its lacking are 2 things, first its lacking an "interpretational" story line, secondly it seems to be lacking the power behind the acting to make the acting seem beliveable not allways the actors fault BUT hey, like usual, what do I know? Show more A group of Marines, led by Sarge The Rock , are sent to Mars to investigate a containment breach: an archeological research facility has lost scientists and data. If The movie wasn't that good. Like Doom 3 or hate it, you can pretty much thank it for this movie. The person who should be most pleased about the release of Doom: Annihilation is Dwayne Johnson, as at least his Doom movie was bad in an interesting way. I'll only be able to see when it come out on dvd alas. The major change is rather than the monsters being from Hell, they're explained another way which is probably just as nebulous. This review of the Netflix film Doom of Love does not contain spoilers.

Doom (2005)
The Doom license isn't meant for movies and Doom: Annihilation will hopefully prevent anyone else from trying to adapt the franchise again in the future. You have the smart-mouthed black guy, the tough and quiet black guy, the nervous rookie, the religious guy, the creepy old guy, the Asian yes, that is his defining characteristic , the hero and the tough-as-nails leader. Kong should show why he's more than qualified for the part. Sure Doom as a game were focused to be a simple and furious action gore fest. Those looking for a faithful adaptation of a beloved franchise will be disappointed in Doom, those looking for a fun action movie will be upset by the lack of clear action, and those looking for a scary sci-fi horror movie will be busy pointing out all of the incoming rip-offs. As a movie it's not very good, and by all rights I should hate it, but I just can't bring myself to do that. With the intensely stupid development that the 24th pair of chromosomes somehow has the ability to choose to infect some and leave others alone, the movie tries to frame Sarge going unstable and making sure the infection? Okay, he only says "aw hell", but I bet they wanted to make him say "aw hell naw".

Doom Review (2005) Worth Watching?
Recommended for both new players and franchise veterans. Written by Yilmaz Erdogan, directed by Hilal Saral, and starring Pinar Deniz, Boran Kuzaum, and Yigit Kirazci, this film has a running time of one hour, forty minutes. Anyway, that's the last we see of the surface of Mars. She then proceeds to attack two of the Marines who are forced to shoot her. I always wondered the same thing about that guy.

The acting is flat most of the time. But again, if you ask me, the best Deus Ex game for me now is Human Revolution released in 2011. . Sarge at least has some kind of arc. Samantha Grim, played by British actress Rosamund Pike whose job it to retrieve scientific data and research.

Doom: Film Review Sample
When an archeological research facility on Mars comes under assault by monstrous mutants, he and his men are assigned to recover survivors and data, but most important, to contain the threat. TES: Skyrim beats TES: Daggerfall easily. They are big mothers and must have awesome daily caloric requirements. And while both the existing ones have their fair share of flaws, they also have a handful of assets that show what could have been. The rest of the marines are basically nothing characters that exist to get killed, but the movie insists on spending time with them for some reason, so we get cardboard cutouts at the center of several scenes across the first hour, making no one happy. I forget whether the director,.

Doom (2005) Review
At times it was hard to tell if they were trying to be campy or the director just didn't care enough to get a decent performance out of his actors all the time. I never watched trailers or went to gaming conferences, I did not follow the news about the game. The fact that the franchise returned from the dead in 2016 was something of a miracle. You can also imagine my bemusement to discover that this has little to do with the games and that The Rock is wasted on a character that requires him to do little more then scowl and shout a bit. The Rock isn't much of a BFG whore though, so he only fires it a couple times. It may all be a pipe dream at the end of the day, but if there's one thing Doom fans can do besides slaughter demons, it's dealing with longshot odds.

Doom movie review & film summary (2005)
All you need to know is that 20 COMBAT VETERANS are FIGHTING to the DEATH and have a FUCKING RIDICULOUS arsenal at their finger tips. Unwanted company is present in the form of some snarly beast things , and further investigation reveals that perhaps the scientists have been engaging in a little genetic hanky panky. Those other three I read had two catagories: It sucks, or it's great. What else is important about Doom? He has previously written gaming articles for websites like Cracked, Dorkly, Topless Robot, and TopTenz. But let's face facts, Doom was never much for plot.
