Up until today, youthful offenders, no matter how young they are, they are being treated as adults. If that is your line of reasoning I must say it is completely wrong -- maturation as a process never stops. In fact, anything involving other people is a developed skill, really. I doubt that they are fooled by sociopaths often. Greg wrote and received letters from his sisters and their children in incarcerated. It talks about how juvenile criminals are facing more adult charges then juvenile charges because crimes are getting worse and worse. Babies are not born with it, it is an acquired skill. True he was only 14, but he was congnizant enough to not only keep thinking about doing it, but convinced himself to do it because of peer pressure, planning it out and then carrying it out. The care and the fear of a father had entered his mind and soul. And he must be for punished for those crimes.
