As a person of faith, I believe that my personal beliefs and values will greatly contribute to my success in college. My faith guides me in making decisions and living a moral and virtuous life, which I believe will lead to a sense of fulfillment and purpose in my studies and future career.
One of the key aspects of my faith is the importance of hard work and diligence. I believe that through hard work and determination, I can overcome any challenges and obstacles that may come my way. This mindset will be crucial in college, where I will need to put in many hours of study and effort in order to achieve my academic goals.
In addition, my faith teaches me the value of honesty and integrity. I believe that honesty and integrity are essential qualities for success, both in college and in life. By being truthful and acting with integrity, I can build trust and respect with my peers, professors, and future employers. This will not only help me succeed academically, but also establish strong relationships and a good reputation that will serve me well in my future endeavors.
Another aspect of my faith is the importance of community and helping others. I believe that we are all interconnected and have a responsibility to support and serve one another. This belief will drive me to get involved in my college community and actively seek out opportunities to give back and make a positive impact. I also believe that working collaboratively with others and being a supportive member of a team will lead to greater success in college and beyond.
In summary, my personal faith and beliefs will play a significant role in my success in college. Through hard work, honesty, integrity, and a desire to serve and support others, I believe that I can achieve my academic and career goals and live a fulfilling and meaningful life.
I'm Nobody. Who are You? Analysis of the Poem
All of this helps us perceive the setting of the first stanza as two people meeting for the first time. In the poem, a speaker introduces themselves—perhaps to the reader—as "Nobody," before excitedly realizing that the addressee is "Nobody" too. I suggest this anthology to people who like poetry, specifically Dickinson's poetry. Out of ~135 poems, there were 10 that struck me as particularly great, my favorites being "The bustle in a house" pg 18 and "I measure every grief I meet" pg 43 ; I think she's particularly good at writing about loss. Each time I read it, it delights me more. The poems follow a case-by-case structure: instead of drawing out an idea for too long or desaturating a concept, the poems are set to a length that matches the material. I had to read poetry for a class, and a friend recommended reading Emily Dickinson.
Though some may consider her style as depressing and cheerless , I find the way she combines her thoughts to be mighty beautiful! Also, she claims to desire her privacy, yet she feels the need to criticize the supposedly foolish behavior of the very people who ignore or condemn her. It is like the life of a frog which tells its name all the time to the boggy ground where it lives. She feels a sense of kinship with the other person, saying they are a "pair" and warning her partner not to tell anybody. While they may not all make sense to me, they are all certainly beautiful, conveying a gorgeously beautiful sense of melancholy, that slowly leads into what might have been intended to be interpreted as a sense of slow self realization. Thought of as an eccentric by the locals, she became known for her penchant for white clothing and her reluctance to greet guests or, later in life, even leave her room. If you like poetry, id advise you read this, if you don't, id advise you don't.

Complementing their abstract nature, I find the imagery of the poems is more vivid because I don't create a staple concept before even reading the poem. It really stands out. .
I didn't realize how much till I started reading this book. When, maturity takes place, when one knows his or her purpose in life, then the best ideas can come in, one can make fruitful outcomes and one can reach success. In fact, such a way of life has many virtues of its own. Are you nobody, too? Even when I felt I missed the symbolism, I could still appreciate the elegant language and tone of the poems. One analysis would be to interpret the poem in an elitist way.

Well, does anyone want to have their every move watched and scrutinized? Thus, paradoxically, her attempt to communicate has the effect of emphasizing her isolation. The illustrations are not amazing but still drew me in more than plain words on a page would have. Are you — Nobody — too? Ben reminds her that everyone is somebody, but Poppy disagrees. Furthermore, her attitude seems to reflect the attitudes of those she mocks: They feel the need to proclaim their presence as frogs do; she feels the need to write a poem calling attention to her own existence and independent values. I plan to start reading it again. June 29, 2019 LOVE this book! This book was kind of confusing. They talk about how dreary it is to be a somebody because they always have to let those around them know who they are. The narrator considers herself to be nobody, that is, a person of no importance; however, she longs for companionship. Dickinson might be talking about her lack of publication as a poet and thus in the outer world she is a Nobody and she hates being published. My first Emily Dickinson volume ever read. I didn't realize how much till I started reading this book. If we are nobody, it lends us a degree of freedom that is hard to find otherwise. One of them, however, pictures the setting of a bog in June, when the weather is warm and presumably all the insects and other summer creatures are out. The way she says "i'm nobody" I think is more because others ignore her, is a way of making sure that she is indeed noticed.

I like Emily Dickinson's writing style. How public — like a Frog — To tell one's name — the livelong June — To an admiring Bog! Sherwood 10 She wanted to establish her own wanted to establish her own individuality and, in doing so, turned to poetry. How dreary — to be — Somebody! It is more personal in nature. In the first stanza of the poem, the speaker addresses another person conversationally. This reveals that the speaker was clearly afraid of being found out. Meanings of Lines 5-8 How dreary — to be — Somebody! The fact that the bog which would be where the frog lives is referred to as "admiring" implies that the "somebodies" like to have an adoring audience at all times. Overall I don't recommend it was boring and hard to understand for me.
