Between memories, he sets up camp, savors his meals, thinks his way through a snowstorm that erases his trail back to camp, stalks and sights his buck--a heart-stopping, trophy-quality rive pointer, and stands ready to pull the trigger. He is, Clemente says, a penitenziere, a hunter of the dark, and his task is to discover the perpetrator of that heinous crime, and prevent him from killing again. . The story is about Mike, a high school student who dreams of getting his hunting license and killing a prize buck. This signals the onset of leukemia, and his world slowly slips away from him.

After reading the preview, I expected that the story would give me a greater appreciation for life, since it focused on a boy's struggle with leukemia, and how he overcame it. Hughes uses theme to weave a well-developed plot by using her unique style of writing. . The reasons are numerous: -Mike is far more realistic a teen than Augustus will ever be. The characters were flat as pancakes. This, combined with suspenseful scenarios she produced, impelled me personally to continue studying.

I chose this gripping novel, which was published in 1982 because I have immensely enjoyed some of her other works. The characters were complex and seemed as if they were real, due to the fact that their reactions and how they act were realistic. The only thing holding him back from his hunting adventures for the whitetail deer is his disease and his parents, but this doesn't stop him. As well as the often toxic and painful diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Or give yourself a treat and read a real chiller where you move from comfortable admiration of a predictable character, to uneasiness, to dawning horror. His girlfriend is the gorgeous Gloria Hlady. After going to the hospitol his parents say he has to go back again and stay for a couple days.

It must have been so hard to be God with such ungrateful human being that grunts at Him every nano seconds. When I finished it, the main sense was one of relief - I would not have to read any more! My school has thirty copies of this book so I thought it would be convenient if I ended up seeing anything of value in it. They like to hunt becuse the boath in joied doing it. You feel like you want the protagonists to get what is coming for them when they head off to another chilling and dangerous meet up somewhere. These two stories impressed the audience and will always remain among the movies, which influence.

A friend I lent my copy to said that she was struck by conflicting emotions - wanting the book to last for ever, and wanting to find out what was happening next. Gets as much right as John Green gets wrong in The Fault in Our Stars.
