Srinivasa Ramanujan was a brilliant mathematician who made significant contributions to the field of mathematics during his short life. He was born in 1887 in a small village in South India and showed an early aptitude for math. Despite having no formal education in higher mathematics, he was able to independently discover and prove many important theorems.
