What is Aboriginal spirituality? Although often mentioned in the literature on Aboriginal health and social and emotional wellbeing, Spirituality has been in danger of becoming one of the undefined terms—like wellbeing, community, identity—that are used in various contexts and with various meanings attached, and in ways that obscure the reality of Indigenous Australian knowledges, philosophies and practices. The purpose of the poem is to inform the target audience about this long lasting relationship so that other non-aboriginal people may understand the traditional love for the land, and to accept this and admire Aboriginals for what they may not hold so close to heart. Worawa Aboriginal College continues to be leading the way today with the support of family members from the late Hyllus Maris. However it lacked the fierce and full on emotions which No Disgrace displayed. The fact that the Dreaming is still around Aboriginal people is a fundamental difference to other spiritual beliefs. They both sent out a very powerful message. Personally the use of rhyme helped me to mentally remember the poem so I could further analyse it and understand the meaning of the theme it conveys.
