The Host is a phenomenon and everyone who hasn't read it must go get it now. Her choice of juvenile-enticing characters is proof enough that her style is not intended for a truly adult audience. They both struggle and slip off the cliff where the spring empties. She has a temper and is often quick to use threats of violence, much to Wanda's displeasure. My problem with Stephenie Meyer is her characters. Lacey is instantly accepted by many of the humans because she is human or becomes human again.
As the story unfolds, Jamie became very ill, and the medicine to cure him was with the souls. And it didn't even have the unintentional hilarity of Twilight sparkly series. Aimed at the adult science fiction crowd, as opposed to the Young Adult Twilight fanbase, The Host isn't about science or where the human race is headed, but about what it means to be human, here and now. Most of the technology seems to have been concentrated on healing and space travel. After managing to save both herself and Kyle from drowning, the two are taken into the infirmary. Jared and Kyle move to kill Wanderer, causing Jamie to reveal that Melanie's consciousness is alive.
Because these humans hate with so much fury, was the other end of the spectrum that they could love with more heart and zeal and fire? The doctor reluctantly agrees despite Ian's protests who reaffirms his love for her. To her surprise, Wanda wakes up in a new host whose consciousness has not returned. However, they only covered the human bodies. . This is something most humans would take for granted before being captured, and something of which Melanie is all-too aware once she loses control of her body. This is one of those books that I think could have benefited with a trimming. Thanks to her efforts, Wanda is entrusted with attending raids for supplies and it is now believed by many that Melanie is still present inside Wanda's mind.
