There was a little girl who lived in a small village nestled in the rolling hills of the countryside. She was a curious and adventurous child, always eager to explore and discover new things.
One day, the little girl decided to venture out into the forest that surrounded her village. She had heard many stories about the forest, tales of magic and mystery, and she was determined to see it for herself.
As she walked deeper into the woods, the little girl began to feel a sense of awe and wonder. The trees were tall and majestic, their leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. The air was filled with the sound of birds singing and the rustle of small animals scurrying through the underbrush.
The little girl walked on, taking in the beauty of the forest around her. She came across a bubbling stream and sat down to watch the water flow by. As she sat there, she saw a glint of something shiny in the water. She reached in and pulled out a small, golden feather.
The little girl was amazed by the feather. It was unlike anything she had ever seen before. She decided to keep it as a souvenir of her adventure and carefully placed it in her pocket.
As the day began to draw to a close, the little girl knew it was time to head back home. She turned and began to retrace her steps through the forest. But as she walked, she realized that she was lost. She had no idea which way to go.
The little girl began to feel scared and alone. She had never been lost before and didn't know what to do. But then she remembered the golden feather in her pocket. She took it out and held it in her hand, and suddenly she felt a sense of calm wash over her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, and when she opened them again, she saw a faint path leading out of the forest.
The little girl followed the path, and before long, she found herself back in the village. She was safe and sound, and grateful for the magic of the golden feather that had guided her home. From that day on, she always kept the feather with her as a reminder of the power of bravery and determination.

She watched her father kill her mother and then her dog. I do so like how she reels it in at the end but leaves it open for more if she so desires.

Hope Jones is all grown up now and absolutely cannot abide any cruelty to animals. Really struggled with this book, big thumbs down Katherine Hope Jones watched her dad kill her mother and beloved dog. How did it get this far? Or will she find the light? Look no further than this book. Hope finds that she wants to meet out justice for those whose voice is silenced. Hope has great job and boyfriend. I loved the sound of this book and it started really well. No one is what they seem… Katherine Hope Jones is a seemingly normal woman with a well-paying job.

The author does a superb job of describing her locations, tho it didn't hurt that I have been to many of them myself. I was truly entertained throughout this book and would recommend it highly to anyone that likes a little cr I found this book to be crazy amazing!!! Yes, she's damaged from years of abuse, she has secrets that are beyond comprehension from her childhood and she is on a mission. I understand she was passionate about the acts of cruelty that she saw, but her actions didn't seem logical. Her mother heard the noise, And she thought it was the boys A-playing at a combat in the attic; But when she climbed the stair, And found Jemima there, She took and she did spank her most emphatic. Hope has her own form of justice, legal maybe not but she feels in her heart she has no choice. When she was good, She was very, very good, And when she was bad she was horrid.
This is what is happening to Hope. I love the cover, the larger print, and the discription of the book. What will she do if caught and put into a jail cell? One of my favorite authors is branching out into thrillers and I couldn't be happier. She seeks justice in the most extreme way and waits for the day the police will show up and arrest her. If you are considering this book just read it as it is definitely worth it and I am sure anyone would enjoy this. There is not much I can't stomach in books being a horror fan and serial killer graphic murder lover, but I can't read any animal cruelty stuff. This book deals with dark subject matter, and is not for the faint of heart.
Young unscrupulous seductress tries to seduce and murder her rich stepfather but her mother has a different plan. I was also drawn to the summary and liked the book was self-published so I had to give it a try! I found it very unlikely that he wasn't on to her sneaking around much sooner. Then she witnesses a ruthless act of cruelty and reads online that the guilty party got a lenient punishment. Katherine Hope has a broken past. How did it get this far? I felt like it could have been a more thrilling and jaw dropping ending than it really was.
Can Hope only see darkness? But once the story started playing out, I was hooked. When she was good, She was very very good, And when she was bad she was horrid. Now she has a good life. Childhood abuses can fester in some people, and then come back to haunt them when they least expect it. In my mind, like every reader, we mentally prepare for what we want and or believe will happen. However, throughout the book there is very little evidence that she actually cares for animals. I want to thank NetGalley and Cynthia Luhrs for allowing me to read this book.
In her mind, that is inexcusable. She dragged her best friend over by her mother, she lay down between them and that is where she was found some hours later. I read this book in a day. Be aware this book is very confronting in regard to animal cruelty and at times I had to put it down for a while, as a person who adores animals this was very hard to read. But after she witnesses an act of animal cruelty, her tightly constructed world comes crashing down as past and present collide. I will certainly look at more books by this author. She was six years old when her father killed her mother and her dog. Many parents and grandparents can. This begins her journey to the dark side. Yes she is crossing of the list. The whole storyline was completely unbelievable and tbh I actually rolled my eyes in disbelief at the ending.
