Thomas Moore (1779-1852) was an Irish poet, singer, songwriter, and entertainer. He was one of the leading figures of the Irish Literary Revival, and was known for his Irish melodies and love songs. He was also a strong advocate for Irish culture and nationalism, and his works often reflected this passion.
